East Village Experience Centre Grand Opening

The East Village officially unveiled its EV Experience Centre to the public this past weekend by hosting a grand opening event that attracted hundreds of YPs from all over the city. Held from 11am to 5pm, the space was packed throughout the day with Calgarians interested in finding out first-hand what the East Village offers in the way of lifestyle and living.

Guests nibbled on complimentary cake as they wandered through the impressive $2.4 million centre. For those with questions or inquiries, a host of Experience Centre ambassadors were on hand to provide guidance on what to check out in the space, supply information about the rich history of the East Village, and explain where the community is today and where the future is going. The neighborhood will eventually house 11,500 residents.

More than just a sales centre, the expansive 743 square metre centre boasts airy high ceilings and walls of windows that give anyone inside a panoramic view of the new East Village. Within the centre, there is a variety of interactive touchscreens, 3D models, video and show suites from the first residential offerings by East Village developer partners Embassy Bosa and FRAM+Slokker.

Though there was much happening inside, there was a buzz around the centre as well. Several of the city’s favourite food trucks were onsite, keeping visitors satisfied with their delicious food. Many YPs also wandered along the River Walkway as they dreamed about what it would be like to live in the new master-planned urban village in the heart of Calgary’s downtown.
