Earl’s Launches New Brunch Menu

After a quick stroll over to Earl’s official Vancouver test location, we found ourselves (happily) seated alongside a handful of other invited media for a mid-morning feast that promised to fuel us up for the rest of the day. They weren’t kidding.

To celebrate the arrival of Earl’s new brunch program, we opted to kick things off with their Signature Caesar (complete with a signature spice mix, pepperoni stick and pickle garnish). Another option we were welcomed to try was their Mimosa and Baesar (bottle of Bud with a Caesar top-off), as well as plenty of coffee.

Getting our taste buds revved up, miniature house-made cinnamon buns arrived to the table in a seemingly endless wave of sweetness. These complimentary treats are oozing with deliciousness and will arrive prior to all brunch dishes.

Next up came the Sourdough French Toast served with Chantilly cream, pure maple syrup, cinnamon butter and a seasonal berry puree (pictured at top). Perfectly crisp on the outside, the house-made sourdough bread was soft and airy on the inside and saturated with flavour.

This was quickly followed suit by Earl’s Croque Madame – with Virginia ham, a roasted Serrano cream sauce and filled with plenty of Swiss cheese.

There was no rest for the wicked at this brunch as we polished off dish after dish and saved a bit of room for the remaining offerings: Frittata and The Hash.

Served in its own piping hot iron skillet, the Earl’s Frittata came loaded with field mushrooms, goat cheese and grape tomatoes.

Our final indulgence of the day was the Chorizo and Mushroom Hash. Poached eggs were expertly perched atop crispy fried potatoes, sliced avocado and field mushrooms, and coated with a light, tangy hollandaise sauce. Simply put, it was the perfect grand finale to a pretty grand brunch debut.
