Drake’s Whiskey Already Broke an LCBO Sales Record

Drake isn’t just setting records when it comes to music award nominations.

His Virginia Black Decadent Whiskey officially broke an LCBO record by having the largest single day launch sales in the organization’s history.

All previous records were set during the holiday season sales peak – not in the middle of what is “Sober October” for many people.

Launched in Canada on September 30, the whiskey is a collaboration between the homegrown superstar and DeLeón Tequila founder and creator Brent Hocking.

Virginia Black is described as a “personally selected collection of two, three and four-year-old Bourbon Whiskey focused on a high-rye content and finished with a decadent profile.”

It’s mellowed to 40 per cent alcohol-by-volume.

Drake’s whiskey is currently only available in Ontario but will launch in B.C, Manitoba, and Alberta on October 15.

After a few shots, you may even be so inclined to make like Drake does in his meme-inspiring “Hotline Bling” video.

A 750 ml bottle runs for $39.95 (that is, if you can get your hands on one).
