Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You When motionball Tickets Sell Out

It’s almost time to get off your couches and be as social as you were over the holidays.

On Friday, February 6th, the motionball Toronto Gala is back.

After 14 years, it’s safe to say that motionball has solidified its spot as the must-attend charity event for young professionals. And this year’s event is no exception. With a theme of “Glitz & Graffiti,” we can expect an event where fine art meets street art, and the red carpet meets the underground.

Have we caught your attention yet?

Presented by AIR MILES a Loyalty One Program, motionball’s 14th annual gala will take over the Liberty Grand and include perks (and Instagram material) like a 130-square foot art gallery featuring a mix of fine art and street art, live graffiti artists, music by DJ Skratch Bastid, DJ Dopey & DJ Saratonin, and live performances by Running Red Lights and Andria Simone.

There will also be late-night snacks provided by Tim Hortons, and complimentary, free-flowing drinks all night. A 100-item silent auction includes things you’ll actually use, like a six-person dinner from Food Dudes, WestJet flights to anywhere in North America, four platinum tickets to the Rogers Cup, and a chef night at Montecito restaurant for a party of eight.

Judging from previous years, we can also expect a few big name celebrities in the house – from pro athletes to both local and international screen talent. Last year, Carmen Electra chatted on the carpet and treated fans to a high-energy performance.

But the biggest stars of the night are the event’s beneficiaries, The Special Olympics Athletes.

To date, motionball has raised almost $4.8 million net for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation, helping those with intellectual disabilities meet their athletic goals and dreams. At the motionball Gala, you get to interact directly (and maybe even have a dance party) with local Special Olympics athletes.

This year’s gala aims to $300,000.

Seriously, trust us when we say the tickets will sell out – they do every year. General admission tickets are $150, and you can yours now here. Oh, and use the code NOTABLE for $25 off (you’re welcome).

See you there!
