Dine Out Vancouver 2014 Rolls Out Record Listings and Events

If you’re like us, you’re more than happy to overlook those recently established New Year’s resolutions in favour of embarking on this two-week culinary tour, now celebrating its 12th Anniversary. We’ve scored all the details to help you dig into a few dining gems, so read on and start salivating accordingly.

As if you need a reason to ditch the resolutions on the early side, Tourism Vancouver has just announced a full-fledge list of participating restaurants and events for this year’s always-popular Dine Out Vancouver Festival

Aside from having more than 260 dining options at our fingertips, this year marks the start of a record number of specialty events, food tours and celebrity chef-led seminars guaranteed to whet your appetite.

On our list of must-dos has to be the Chef Soup Experiment (50 chefs, 50 ingredients, and one massively delicious soup), FOOD-tography: A Culinary Photography Tour, Hawksworth Restaurant’s ‘Side Dishes: The Best of Hawksworth’ followed by the West End Brunch Crawl (presented by Vancouver Foodster), Raw Canvas Lounge’s ‘Ultimate Raw Canvas Experience’ that’ll have your inner artist and culinary pro unleashed for a rather messy night of fun and, finally, the 6 Course Discourse (hosted by Mijune Pak of ‘Follow Me Foodie’ fame).

This year’s culinary hot spots have cooked up a storm in the form of prix-fixe menus for the multi-week event with an impressive number of brand-new restos worth noting, including PiDGiN, Bambudda, Twisted Fork Bistro and more. So be it a luxe dining experience you’re after or finding that perfect neighbourhood hideaway to cozy up at or a sampling of exotic eats, this year’s Dine Out can more than deliver.

Back for another year is Dine Out’s Instagram-based contest that invites participants to submit videos and photos of festival experiences to the revamped Dine Out For a Year contest using popular social media feeds like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. From January 17th to February 2nd, there will be one entrant chosen by a panel of judges to win a gift certificate to a participating restaurant, ramping up to the festival’s end, and Grand Prize Big Kahuna: 52 gift certificates to some of the city’s top restaurants. That’ll keep any young professional’s bank account in check!

The Dine Out Vancouver Festival 2014 runs from January 17 to February 2, 2014.  Learn all about it, review menus and reserve spots here.
