Chris Hadfield Posts Powerful Tribute to David Bowie

Among the thousands of tributes that flooded the Internet yesterday in the wake of David Bowie’s death, one of the most powerful and moving came from beloved Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield.

As you’ll recall, Hadfield, a long-time Bowie fan, famously recorded a version of Bowie’s “Space Oddity” at the International Space Station. Recorded in 2013, his version of the hit was the first song to be recorded in outer space.

Yesterday, Hadfield took to Facebook to express his feelings about Bowie’s death.
