Chow Down at the 2014 Food Cart Fest

As if summer in the city wasn’t already sweet. We live in a stunning part of Canada, surrounded by ocean, coastal mountains and plenty of reasons to be outdoors for fun. If last summer’s Food Cart Fest was any indication of just how awesome our city’s food trucks have gotten in terms of variety and quality of offerings, this year is no exception.

Here’s the scoop: expect to find at least 30 or so different food and beverage trucks ready to serve starting Sunday, June 22nd at 215 W 1st Avenue (between Cambie Street Bridge and the Olympic Village). Easily accessed by the Canada Line, bike, foot or car, here’s no excuse not to check it out at least a few times throughout the summer.

Here’s a few participating vendors we think might pique your interest (not to mention appetite): Holy Perogy, Taco Fino, Aussie Pie Guy, Yolk’s Vij’s Railway Express, The Juice Truck, Culver City Salads, Pig On The Street, Re-Up BBQ… need we say more?

It’s doesn’t stop with food, though. Food Cart Fest features plenty of other entertaining distractions to keep you happy for the afternoon and is complemented by community markets, live music, a rotation of local DJs, and activities for the little people too.

So starting this Sunday from noon until 5pm, slap on some sunscreen, bring your appetite, grab your bike, and head over to check it out and see what all the buzz is about.
