Chef On Call Opens Third Location in Time for the Winter Chill

Let’s get real, young professionals. With temperatures hitting below -20 lately, none of us are overjoyed at the idea of leaving our cozy slippers and oversized blankets behind. So what happens when the tummy starts calling hunger and the fridge is empty? In case you still haven’t heard of Chef on Call, it’s time to get to know this ambitious duo, who have now launched their third and first franchise location in Cote Des Neiges.

Here’s a little history: Chef On Call began in 2009 when an ambitious team of McGill and Concordia students led by Robert Kauffman and Gabriel Malbogat came up with a business plan to start a gourmet food delivery service for students living in downtown Montreal. They saw the market demand for a healthier food delivery option at a competitive price because they themselves had grown tired of the increasingly unappetizing options that were available to them on a student budget. The wide assortment of food includes hot and cold dishes, succulent fresh salads and sandwiches, gourmet hamburgers and signature mouth-watering desserts with a very honorable mention going to their one-of-a- kind chicken tenders breaded by hand along with their unique dipping sauces.

Chef on Call first opened with a focus to cater to students studying or hanging out until the very late hours of the night and wanted something different to snack on. Now with their second and third location, they are close to Concordia University, the hospital, and a lot of corporations where young professionals are working, allowing them to order from the Chef for lunch.

Chef On Call currently has three locations in Montreal at 2055 Rue Bishop, 362 Rue Sherbrooke and 5655 Côte-des-Neige, so pick up your phone, turn on Home Alone and order some delish comfort food to get you going through this winter season.
