Charity Spotlight: Red and White Ball

This Friday, bust out your reds and whites for the 10th annual Red & White Ball charity gala at the Courthouse in support of Rethink Breast Cancer. Aimed at a young professional audience, guests can party for a good cause as they enjoy an open wine bar for the first two hours of the event, courtesy of YellowTail. The event is in support of breast cancer research and prevention education for young women, with all proceeds to be donated to Rethink Breast Cancer.

Why red and white? Red & White is the deconstruction of pink, which we know is the colour traditionally associated with breast cancer. The event promises no shortage of amazing prizes, including coveted raffle items and fully stocked swag bags valued at over $150. Prizes include things like a well-deserved Chalet weekend at Blue Mountain (Value $888) and eight personal training sessions from SNAP Fitness, as well as prizing from Oliver and Bonacini, The Toronto Sport and Social Club and Stella and Dot Jewelry, among others. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event at the following prices: one ticket for $5, three tickets for $10 or an arm’s length for $20.

There will be some surprises to keep guests entertained throughout the night and DJ Slim Signal will be spinning into the morning hours so don’t leave early.

The Red and White Ball was started ten years ago by a group of young professional women Dalia Naomi, Meera Shah, Mena Jibran and Jessica Beard to support a friend who was battling breast cancer. Each year, the event gets bigger and this year expects to attract 500 young professionals and raise over $20,000 for Rethink.
