Celeste Barber Has Recreated More Celebrity Instagram Pics and They’re AMAZING

Celeste Barber, our favourite Australian funny woman, is back – and she’s even better than ever (if that’s actually possible).

Last year we told you about her picture perfect parody account, that pokes fun at the selfie trend (and herself).

Taking on Instagram one ludicrous celebrity post at a time, the comedienne has been recreating even more preposterous poses by Kim Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, and Beyoncé et al.

Whether she’s hiking while twerking as Nicki Minaj might, or struggling to do downward dog on a paddle board like Lady Gaga, the Sydney-based writer and actor is taking on some of the more farcical elements of Instagram.

Proving what we all thought to be true – these snaps are not nearly as effortless as they appear to be – Barber stumbles through their stances and contortions, parodying their posts to hilarious effect.

It’s easy to get caught up in Instagram fever and feel compelled to post a heavily filtered “best” version of our lives. But without a 50-strong entourage of makeup artists and stylists and an employee to hold our legs in a series of gravity defying positions, it’s impossible to look this good all the time. (Or any time, really.)

She’s not the only one who’s been reminding us that it isn’t exactly true to life – in January the couple behind Nomadasaurus came clean about their flawed relationship behind the picture perfect Instagram account.

Barber’s behind the scenes Instagram snapshots are raw, untouched and let’s face it – a whole lot more fun than what we’re used to seeing.

And her hysterical captions, “Bella Hadid and I like to drink wine then pretend we are cats,” serve to remind us that real life is a far cry from the polished one we so often see on Instagram.

And you know what – that’s fine by us.

Oh, and for the record, Celeste, we think you look fantastic.
