TIFF Party Guide 2011: Your Guide to the Best TIFF Parties

TIFF 2011 is just around the corner, and already the buzz of circuit parties is making the rounds. Here are a few of the hot tickets to take note of…

(A lot of these parties are exclusive entry, but at least you’ll know the hottest spots for some celeb-watching.)

September 7th
» Adrian Grenier will be the special guest at a charity event for War Child at The Bowery. Tickets will be $20, we’ll update you soon on how to get your hands on them.
» eTalk is hosting the 6th Annual Canadian Filmmakers’ Party at Spoke Club with music by Jojo Flores.
» Rue Pigalle’s French Glam TIFF Party at the namesake’s Yorkville boutique will be a champagne social.

September 8
» Adrian Grenier is hosting another party, this time at Brant House for the Teenage Paparazzo Experience.
» AMC TV and Nikki Beach will once again hold La Terasse, this year on the rooftop patio at TIFF Bell Lightbox from the 8th to the 12th.
» The TIFF opening night gala/party we’ve been told will be held at the Liberty Grand.

September 9
» Gansevoort Hotel Group will be hosting Goodnight Gansevoort at, appropriately, Goodnight Bar on September 9th and 10th.
» TORO’s After Dark Lounge “Painting the Night Red” for Artists for Peace and Justice will take place in the now-closed AME on the 9th with hosts director Paul Haggis, Gerard Butler, and George Stroumboulopoulos.
» George Strombo will also be hosting the Hazelton Takeover at ONE restaurant on the 9th.
» The Grey Goose SOHO House series of parties should be hot spots for celeb watching, at Stories at 11 Duncan Street.
» ONEXONE’s Charity Gala will be at the Four Seasons with a special performance by Harry Connick Jr.
» Alliance Films Studio Party will supposedly take over South of Temperance with a special performance by a “Grammy Award winning artist.”

Nyood Bar and Lounge is hosting Fashion Film Food featuring R&B singer Melanie Fiona.

September 10
» HELLO! Canada will be hosting their 5th Anniversary Red Carpet Gala and Cocktail Reception at the Ritz-Carlton, we’re still waiting to find out the list of VIPs.
» The Artists for Peace and Justice Academy Lunch will be at a hush-hush private estate in the Annex.
» The Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Awards will be hosted at the Roosevelt Room, with Gerard Butler, Michelle Monaghan, Rhys Ifans, and Juliette Lewis on tap to attend.
» Kultura is expected to be having a TIFF-related party.
» The After Party for the film The Oranges is taking place at Atelier, with possible celeb sightings including Leighton Meester, Hugh Laurie, Catherine Keener, Allison Janney, Adam Brody, and Oliver Platt

September 11
» Norman Jewison will be hosting his Annual Canadian Film Centre BBQ.
» The Bowery will be hosting the private cast dinner for Machine Gun Preacher starring Gerard Butler and Michelle Monaghan.
» The Woman in the Fifth, starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Ethan Hawke, official cast dinner will be at the Roosevelt Room.

September 12
» The Hoxton will play host to the Diet Coke Stay Extraordinary Gala, transporting guests back to Old Hollywood.

September 13
» In Style Magazine and Hollywood Foreign Press Association will hold their annual TIFF party at Windsor Arms Hotel.
» ET Canada hosts its annual Festival Central gala at Spice Route.

September 14
» United Conservationists and Tribute present An Evening for the Sharks with Sharkwater director Rob Stewart, taking over Ultra Supper Club.
» WIFT (Women in Film and Television Toronto) hosts the Art of Sound at Pinewood Toronto Studios.

September 15
» The After Party for Hysteria starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rupert Everett, and Hugh Dancy will be at the Thompson Hotel.

September 16
» Notable.ca will be hosting a TIFF celebration with The Hoxton, and yes, the liquor license is extended until 4AM. More details to come…
» Winnie‘s and Tyrannosaur‘s joint after-party will be at Brant House with Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard expected to show up.

September 18
» The TIFF Awards Reception will be held at TIFF Bell Lightbox.

Still to Confirm
» There’s buzz that Vanity Fair will have their party sometime around the 10th to 13th, we’re waiting to find out where and exactly when.
» The Bungalow 8 (Amy Sacco) CAA (Creative Artists Agency) big TIFF bash will supposedly be at the Burroughes Building, again, waiting on the time.

Gifting Suites
» The NKPR IT Lounge will be operating out of NKPR’s Adelaide Street headquarters.
» The TIFF Essentials Lounge by EGPR for media (thanks!) is on the 7th at Hotel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square.
» The B.A.D. PR gifting lounge will be at the Hazelton Hotel.
» The RealTV Social Media Lounge will operate out of SPiN Toronto’s King Street location.
