YVR’s Notable team had a chance to check out the much buzzed-about grand opening event for CB2 just before the weekend. To mark this celebratory soiree, select media and design-savvy professionals had the chance to venture through the doors of this newly renovated 12,550 square-foot space (at 1277 Robson Street) before the public. We took in a vibrant array of unique, sexy and sleek statement design pieces – with notably YP-friendly price tags attached – and enjoyed the scene with bevy in hand.
Located at the former historic Pacific Palisades Hotel, the store imbues great taste and offers young professionals the perfect balance between functional furnishings that double as statement pieces. They are as original as they are affordable, minus any minimalist pretence added.
We spotted a selection of stunning accent pieces and scored sweet decor ideas (think bold colour, interesting shapes and natural textures) that are perfectly suited to a YP’s lifestyle and modern-day cozy city living. Point blank, Vancouver now has a welcomed non-IKEA go-to when on the hunt for unique, funky furnishings, lifestyle items, tableware and more, all guaranteed to jumpstart conversation at your next dinner party.
And that’s just the beginning…
Meandering our way around this massive store, we discovered cozy couches, chic lighting, art installations, and plenty more worthy of adding to our wish list.
Amidst pausing to stop and chat with other YPs whilst conducting some serious networking, we noshed on specialty samplings courtesy of Notable faves The Dirty Apron, La Brasserie, and Re-Up BBQ. Rounding out the perfect launch party blend, attendees were privy to the party beats a la resident DJ She.
CB2 Robson is beautiful to look at both inside and out, hands down. Don’t take our word for it – check out our gallery for more insight on the night and design-spiration.
