Calgary’s Pop Up Concept Sit Interiors Creating a Community

For the young professional who loves well-made products, innovative ideas, and community, Sit Interiors is the place to check out. As Canada’s first retail pop-up concept, it is a new mix of retail and community space that, for the next six months, will be open on 11 Ave. between 7 and 8 St SW.

Brought to you by Domicile Interiors, Sit not only gives you the opportunity to purchase accessible, high-design furniture and accessories, but you are also surrounded by a hub of activity for lovers of all things design, community, creativity, and collaboration.

Timely and temporary, they will also feature curated retailers who will be rotated monthly to reflect Canada’s best new work and will be complimented by weekly programming ranging from collaborations with local arts and culture advocates. They’ve already collaborated with TEDxYYC, Alberta College of Art and Design and Matthew Hilton (one of Britain’s most highly respected industrial designers).

Sit is less about consumption and more about content and community, definitely making it a new way to shop for YPs. Pop in and peruse the merchandise, art installations and featured curated retailer…better yet, attend one of their events.

To stay up to date on what is happening and to find out about upcoming events at Sit, like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.
