Burger Barons on Queen West: P and L Burger

We’ve some new(ish) burger barons in the city that are heating up the Queen West (507) scene just like… well… just like they did a few years ago. Let us explain…

P&L Burger propped up shop a couple weeks ago, offering up some damn fine patties slathered in some uber-yum toppings. Here’s the catch: many of you have likely had the namesake burger before. At Parts & Labour

Yes, the P&L crew took their famous burger (it won CMT’s Burger Wars) slightly down the road to the Queen and Spadina area. Chef Matty Matheson and his team are pumping out beefy goodness like the aforementioned P&L Burger, The Italian (a patty smothered in marinara sauce with hot peppers), The Deluxe that’s piled high, and a few other tasty concoctions.

Paired with a classic poutine (read: good fries coated in a rich gravy and proper cheese curds) and a milkshake (we’ve heard the seasonal egg nog shake is divine), P&L Burger is a mighty fine option for lunch or a quick dinner before hitting the bar.

After sampling P&L Burger’s array of cool cows, we couldn’t help but wish our waistlines would stand up to a burger on the daily. Unfortunately, opposite to apples, a burger a day ensures a doctor’s full pay.
