Bond, Party Bond

We can’t believe we’re already into the second week of November…and heading into prime holiday party festivities. (Can we get a “Yes!”?) This also means we’re less than two weeks away from one of Vancouver’s chicest standalone events held at one of the city’s classiest historic members-only venues: The Vancouver Club.

That’s right, tis the season for the Jet Set Crew’s annual James Bond Party, brought to us by the folks behind Belvedere Vodka – and it all gets shaken (and stirred) on November 19th starting at 8pm.

This event notoriously brings together the city’s finest crew of young professional party-goers looking to shake it Bond-style to the music stylings of Buddha Sax, Drummer Zuzu, and Goldenlight Dancers. This year’s “For Your Eyes Only” theme asks guests to emulate their favourite 007 character as part of a full-on night of spy-fuelled fun. Tap into your Vesper Lynd or unleash your inner Money Penny and you may just walk away with some noteworthy bling à la Diamonds Are Forever (best impersonation will land someone a diamond courtesy of Petra Jewels).

And it’s not all martinis, make-believe and dance floor mayhem: this year aims to be the most jam-packed Bond event ever. On the evening’s menu: tricked-out 007 cars, plenty of decor and special effects to suit the mood, and an espionage-esque storyline enacted throughout the party with guests dialled in as part of the action…

MI6’s spy boat has been accidentally sunk in the Ionian Sea and it holds a device capable of controlling the Royal Navy’s fleet of nuclear subs. It is up to you and Bond 007 to infiltrate the Greek Consulate, overcome KGB agents Kristatos + Kriegler and retrieve the device first!”

Work up your Secret Agent appetite as a VIP and check out the custom carvery and dessert stations or nosh on world-class hors d’oeuvres while sipping champagne. Throw back a few custom cocktails at the evening’s special Bond Bar before you throw down on the dance floor to the beats of DJ SKLA and DJ Leanne, all within the decadent world that is The Vancouver Club package.

Tickets are $50, and worth every penny.
