Best Toronto Patios: The Three Speed

The Three Speed is easily considered one of Toronto’s best patios. Probably because if you don’t know exactly where it is, you’ll never find it.

This urban gem is nearly as hidden as it gets – there’s no sign that you’ve found it (literally), but once you do, you’re in for a treat.

The scene is hip, and the bar offers a welcoming feeling. Basically, it’s like someone’s really cool living room and they’ve allowed you to come in and hang out in. This restaurant is a nice getaway from downtown Toronto, sitting steps from the corner of Bloor W. and Dufferin. Not to mention, the quality of food is surprisingly high and the price point is decidedly easy on the wallet. It’s also a must-try brunch place during the summer (you’re going to want to hit the patio and enjoy the long communal table and outdoor stone oven).

Don’t be fooled when you first walk in to the bar; although the bar may seem relatively small at first, it completely opens up at the back to the aforementioned urban oasis of a patio.

The beautiful outdoor patio has a lively ambiance and offers a cool scene as it dishes up some of Toronto’s best patio eats. Vegetation surrounds the patio, adding to an earthly and cozy feel. Seating only 50, it offers the chance for an intimate evening. A wooden fence surrounds the patio, providing  a comfortable retreat from the business of Toronto.

In short, this is a hipster bar on that outside but one that welcomes everyone on the inside. If you’ve been looking for your favourite ‘local’ and still haven’t found it, it’s simply because you haven’t been to one of Toronto’s best kept restaurant secrets – The 3 Speed.
