It features a palette that’s inspired by the open road (blue skies, grey roads, green signs, and coral sunrises) and easy, softly worn fabrics, with no shortage of effortless linen. It’s infused with hues of olive and gold and (practically) 50 shades of blue – with cobalt making a major appearance.
With an emphasis on a lived-in aesthetic, the focus of the collection is also on rediscovering the ingredients of the brand’s iconic heritage and making them come to life in a modern way. The pieces are perfect for summer travel, patio sessions, and work functions.
The summer collection is full of bright floral separates, ripped jeans, edgy accessories, and both short skirts for a night on the town, and longer (but still super fun) ones for the office.
The guys have all types of shorts to choose from, and no shortage of shirts and layering pieces that are appropriate for both the office, a first date, or ‘on a boat’ with buddies.
Basically, Banana Republic is definitely back on our radar – and on the radar of some of the most stylish south of the border, courtesy of its first New York Fashion Week appearance in February.
