Aziz Ansari is Bringing a New Half Hour Comedy Series to Netflix

Netflix keeps getting better these days.

First came the news of Full House reunion series earlier this week, and yesterday it was announced comedian and Parks and Recreation alum Aziz Ansari will headline a new comedy series.

Though Netflix won’t release the premise of the 10-episode series (rumours are that it, not surprisingly, deals with dating and relationships), we do know that it’s being filmed in New York City and is co-created by Parks and Recreation writer-producer Alan Yang.

The half-hour show will also feature Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!) Noel Wells (SNL), H. Jon Benjamin (Bob’s Burgers, Archer), and Kelvin Yu (Popular).

Claire Danes is apparently supposed to make a guest appearance as well.

The paring of Ansari and Netflix isn’t a surprising one, Ansari has already had two stand-up specials on the streaming service, Buried Alive and Live at Madison Square Garden

But this seems like a whole new reason to treat yo’ self.
