Ashkenaz Festival

The city of Toronto is hosting the 9th biennial Ashkenaz Festival, the largest North American event celebrating Jewish music and culture. This year’s festival has more of a global feel with performances by acts from such diverse locales as Africa, Asia, India and Mexico. The festival spans 9 days and involves more than just concerts; there will be films, lectures, workshops, dancing and a parade just to make sure you don’t get bored. Ashkenaz is a great way to immerse yourself in the Jewish culture and make some international connections.
