Artbound’s The pARTy Raises 245K for Free the Children

On September 27, Artbound threw down their third consecutive fundraiser in support of Free The Children with the support of Scotiabank as presenting sponsor. They did not disappoint, choosing the iconic 80s film Footloose as inspiration for 2012.

While sipping signature pARTy cocktails, and noshing on fried chicken & waffles and ‘holding out for a hero’ sandwiches, Dr. Draw and acclaimed soprano Simone Osborne proceeded to blow everyone away with an unforgettable performance.

The main event carried on with a cover band playing hot 80s hits and Footloose-themed dance performances. The 1,000-strong sea of partiers, dressed in fine country-fied fashion, eventually followed the flashmobs onto the dance floor at Maison on Mercer Street.

When all wrapped up, $245,000 was raised for FTC’s Adopt a Village project in Rajasthan, India.
