Arlene Dickinson Introduces Innovative Social Platform YouInc.com

Today, Canadian entrepreneur Arlene Dickinson, of Dragons’ Den fame, announced the upcoming launch of YouInc.com 2.0, a member-based social platform for entrepreneurs that’s set to debut on Wednesday, October 2. When it comes to entrepreneurship, perhaps the best learning is done via peer-to-peer collaboration, banter and through the successes and failures of others. Free to join, YouInc.com 2.0 facilitates this by focusing on all elements of the “entrepreneurial lifestyle.”

YouInc.com 2.0 features a new layout and promotes the advancement of entrepreneurs through engaging content, educational resources and entertainment specifically designed for entrepreneurs. This includes posts from Dickinson and other industry professionals; connections with like-minded business owners; online ‘flash groups’ that facilitate instant focus groups between members; opportunities to ‘ask an expert’ for business advice; and entrepreneurial events.

“Entrepreneurs thrive when surrounded by the right expertise, information and ability to collaborate peer to peer,” said Dickinson. “With YouInc.com 2.0, we have created an enhanced online platform designed specifically for small and medium-sized business owners, with the goal of helping them achieve the greatest success possible, while providing resources that celebrate and enrich the entrepreneurial lifestyle.”

Arlene Dickinson launched YouInc.com in October 2012 as part of Arlene Dickinson Enterprises Ltd., a company created to invest in, serve and support entrepreneurs. Over the course of her career, Dickinson has invested in, assisted and advised hundreds of companies from local and sole proprietorships to multi-billion dollar international businesses.

Dickinson also remains CEO of Venture Communications Ltd. (the national marketing company she has owned for more than 25 years), and, of course, a venture capitalist on the hit CBC series Dragons’ Den.
