Antonio Park Opens Jatoba Restaurant This Week

Get ready to eat.

A dream team of Nicolas Urli (Ha, Flyjin), Marco Benatar (Flyjin) with Alexander Besnar, and Patrick Hétu (A5 Management) are launching the highly anticipated Jatoba, a new gourmet destination in Montreal’s business district.

Jatoba is located in the former Phillips Lounge and will offer a mix of Asian and South American cuisine designed by Antonio Park of PARK Restaurant and Olivier Vigneault, who interned at a French Michelin-star establishment, was chef and co-owner of Yuzu in Quebec City, executive chef at Marabout and Miso, and chef at Kaizen and Park.

Not a bad resume either.

The unique new menu will allow foodies to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Jatoba’s space was revamped with the talent of Amlyne Phillips of La Chambre Design who houses an impressive client resume including Suwu, Apartment 200, L’gros Luxe (Plateau Mont-Royal), and Namos. She describes the new concept as an “old industrial mansion, sophisticated and masculine” with a touch of a French bistro and some modernity. Jatoba promises to be a unique environment, unmatched by what is currently being done in Montreal’s restaurant scene.

Jatoba will be able to accommodate 100 guests inside and another 70 on the terrace (opening next summer). We can’t help but love the thought of summer already.

With Anotnio Park’s impressive resume and recent win as best chef at the Quebec Notable Awards, we all know that Jatoba’s menu will be the talk of town as soon as doors open this Thursday. Yes, we said this Thursday.

Clear your schedules.
