Andy Warhol’s Famous Hamptons Retreat is Now Up for Sale… for $85 Million

Want to buy a Warhol? Well, now you can.

And it’s not limited to just one view.

Purchased in 1972 for just $225,000 by Andy Warhol and his one-time manager Paul Morrissey, the compound – known as Eothen (meaning “from the east”) – now houses six cottages across some 30-acres of oceanfront property in world famous Montauk.

According to the official listing, Warhol’s guest list included the likes of Jackie Onassis, Mick Jagger, Elizabeth Taylor, and John Lennon.

Decent, we guess.

Currently owned by J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler, all this can be yours for just $85 million. Which is about what a Warhol currently goes for these days.

Except with Eothen, you get to taste fresh salt air every time you look at it. And pay over $100k a year in taxes…

Worth it?
