Airbus Releases Amazing New Cabin Design Based on Customer Feedback and Complaints

Your tweets about uncomfortable seats, messy washrooms, and poor inflight entertainment have not gone unnoticed. Airbus has found yet another way to deliver enhanced passenger comfort.

The European airliner has revealed its newest Airbus cabin will be completely tailored to its traveller’s biggest complaints.

The new interior, called Airspace by Airbus, will have more floor space, bigger luggage bins and updated bathrooms. Airspace will be standard on all of the new A330neo and the A350 XWB.

The new cabin layout was re-designed to give travellers the upmost comfort for their dollar and now all economy seats will be a standard 18 inches wide, which is an inch larger than the competition. (Take that Boeing).

Entertainment systems have also be reconfigured and will now come with larger seat-back screens, more reliable high-speed services, as well as no longer requiring under-seat control boxes, freeing up floor space for added leg room, which was a top complaint from flyers.

Travellers will also appreciate the new jet lag fighting system, which was designed to ensure that travellers arrive at their final destination feeling completely refreshed. The new design comes equipped with ultra-quiet Rolls Royce engines, which will keep volume down in the cabin, as well as customizable lighting, which flight attendants can adjust throughout the flight. The change in light can,”stimulate good sleep, reduce jet lag, and enhance passengers’ moods

The washrooms will also be receiving a much-needed makeover and will be updated with touch-less faucets and flushing, aroma dispensers, and antibacterial surfaces. So if you ever decide to join the mile high club, you no longer need to worry about the cleanliness of the space. (Ya, ’cause that’s what’s really been stopping you.)

Finally, travellers will be happy to hear there will be more on-board luggage room, as the overhead bins will now be able to hold 68 per cent more volume and fit up to five suitcases.

Travellers can expect to see the new concept rolling out mid 2017. We just hope this move inspires Canadian airlines to rethink their customer comfort designs sooner rather than later.
