Airbnb Renters Trash Calgary Home with a Massive Drug Induced Orgy Party

A Calgary family’s horror story may make you think twice when it comes to renting out your place on Airbnb.

The family rented their home out for the weekend on the popular accommodation sharing website, only to return home to a total nightmare; their home had been trashed.

And in an epic way.

Aside from the shards of glass, flooded toilets that were jammed with condoms, dented walls, and popping hardwood thanks to spilled liquor, the house looks like it was pretty much ransacked.

Which was likely the last thing that the King family expected when they rented their home out to four adults who had told them that they were in town for a wedding.

What those four adults had failed to mention was that not long after the King family left for their in-laws’ place across town, a luxury party bus would pull up with a 100 people who were, well, looking to party – and for what police apparently called a “drug-induced orgy.”

Classy.

Once the Kings were informed of the situation by neighbours – who had told her that the police had arrived – they didn’t have too far to travel to confront the renters, who were too wasted to comprehend what was even happening.

The renters have since been banned from using Airbnb (duh), and the company has agreed to fully cooperate with law enforcement in investigation of the incident.

As for the Kings, they are expected to be reimbursed through the company’s insurance policy, which provides up to $1 million in insurance “to eligible properties in the rare event of guest damages which are not resolved directly with the guest.”

The King family had reportedly rented out their house on Airbnb before and never had an issue.

We have a feeling, however, that this will probably be their last.
