A South Korean Company Has Invented the Phone-brella So You Can Text Efficiently in the Rain

Depending on where you live in Canada, almost half the days in a year could feature some form of precipitation. The worst part of this, of course, is that holding an umbrella seriously impairs your ability to text efficiently.

Well, fret no more, because a South Korean company has invented the Phone-brella.

This most essential of tools protects you and your phone from the rain while keeping both hands free for optimal keyboard action. The C-shaped handle rests on your wrist while the stem of the umbrella is propped up against your shoulder, which makes it equally useful for people with disabilities that restrict them from working with both hands.

Its only kryptonite is a very windy day… in addition to all the other dangers that come with breezing through life with your head down.

Kt Design’s Phone-brella was chosen as the winner for this year’s Red Dot Design Awards and is unfortunately only available as a limited gift for the company’s customers.

Someone in Vancouver: please figure out a way to bring this thing to West Coast.
