New Jersey’s Action Park has a history of outrageous attractions.
So outrageous, in fact, that six people have lost their lives on its rides and in its pools.
Yesterday, the New Jersey Herald announced Action Park’s latest and greatest: a 2,000-foot waterslide park staff are unofficially crowning the world’s longest.
The slide’s moment of truth comes this morning, when it will be debuted in a TV segment on the Today show. A judge from Guinness World Records will also be on hand to determine the validity of its ‘world’s longest’ title; the slide’s approval by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs also hinges on a series of test runs such as one Today correspondent Jenna Wolfe is scheduled to undertake.
