A Look at Comiccon Montreal’s Street Style

With its fifth edition being held at Palais des congrès from September 13 to 15, the Montreal Comiccon attracted over 42,000 visitors. Among them were superheroes, villains, Harry Potters, Jokers, weird rock monsters from who knows where, Catwomen, the mighty predator, and even Tony the Tiger carrying a giant spoon around for those frosted flakes.

Over the three days, fans got to meet a myriad of local and international celebrities, including Gillian Anderson (The X-Files), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), George Takei (Star Trek), Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), professional wrestlers Mick Foley, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, Maryse Ouellet and Kevin Nash, and a slew of other celebs that make nerds jolly. This edition also brought an upsurge of over 100 activities, including celebrity Q&As, panels, workshops, autograph sessions, photo ops, concerts, a video game zone (sponsored by Microplay), the Masquerade, celebrity ‘meet & greets’, film screenings and several special events.

But let’s get real; the attraction here for those of us that aren’t deeply engulfed or obsessed with the comic world was the costumes. It was like entering the land of comic OZ, and was it ever awesome. So we figured why not share with you the coolest, weirdest and creepiest Comiccon “street styles” we encountered over the weekend.

Ladies which one of these galactic bachelors do you want? We call Iron Man!

The Spider gang is here; how bad-ass is Dr. Octopus!?

A little flashback to Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
