A Full List of the Best 2015 St. Paddy’s Day Parties in Toronto

Shine your shamrocks and lace up your leprechauns ’cause every adult’s favourite pseudo-holiday is just ‘round the corner.

Yup – St. Patrick’s Day is just a week away. 

It’s the one day/weekend/week a year where all ethnic data are thrown to the wind and everyone becomes Irish. And by, “Irish”, we of course mean, “drunk”. Or charitable!

However you like to cook the clover, from jogging to chugging, here is a list of the most notable St. Patty’s Day events around Toronto…  

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Where: Bloor & St. George (Start)
When: Sunday March 15th @ 12:00pm for approximately  1 ½ hrs
What: You know the deal. It’s a good old fashioned Irish-themed parade with everything from fiddles to wagons and leprechauns to intoxicated teens…which are kind of the same thing. You can find the full parade route here.

Cabbagetown Youth Centre Shamrocks & Sneakers 4K Run/Walk
Where: Bloor & St. George (Start)
When:
Sunday March 15th @ 12:00pm
What:
A run/walk to support programs at the Cabbagetown Youth Centre. It’s free for children 12 and under, $20 for 13-18, $30 for 19+, and $25 per person if you have a team of 10 or more. Yes, there is a prize for best costume.

Achilles Canada St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run/Walk
Where: Leon’s Furniture Store (255 Bremner Blvd. / The Roundhouse)
When:
Sunday March 15th @ 10:30am
What:
16th Annual St. Patty’s Day run/walk to support the enablement of people with disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics, promote personal achievement, enhance self esteem, and lower barriers. Registration is now $50, and the race ends next to a brewery… 

Irish For a Cure
Where: Studio Event Theatre (333 King Street W.)
When: Saturday March 14th @ 2:00pm – 5:30pm
What: In memory of Rockin’ Dale Arlene Miron, this is the first annual St.Patrick’s Day benefit in support of Kidney Cancer Canada. Entry donation is $50 and that gets you live music all afternoon along, hors d’oeuvres, a few drink tickets and a special appearance from Canadian R&B star, Jully Black. And if you purchase fast, you can get access to the exclusive Irish For a Cure Pre-Drink hosted by Naughty Otter Lager starting at noon just a 5 minute walk from the SET. 


Steam Whistle’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party
Where: Steam Whistle Roundhouse
When:
Saturday March 14th @ 1:00pm – 11:00pm
What
: $20 at the door for access to beer, traditional eats from the Irish Embassy, Irish dancers from the Woodgate-Shamrock Irish Dancers and foot-stomping live music by Brogue and Scantily Plaid. 

Carlsberg St. Party’s Day
Where: Brassaii
When:
Saturday March 14th @ 11:00am – 2:00am
What:
A big green throwdown on King West. You have to buy tickets for a particular entrance time; 11am-2pm, 3pm-5pm or 7pm-9pm. Tickets are $15 or $20 depending on when you want to get in. In 2014, over 8,000 people showed up to this party, so if you missed it last year make sure you’re not green with FOMO this year. 


SPD Toronto
Where: Polson Pier
When: Saturday March 14th @ 11:00am – 9:00pm
What: This is gonna be a biggie; like, over 10,000 people biggie. There will be a main stage showcasing 4 different bands, 2 side-rooms hosting multiple DJs throughout the festivities, 2 outdoor patios, 2 solariums, green beer, and a free pancake breakfast. Everything wraps up at 9pm, so consider this the weekend’s biggest pre-drink. 


St. Patrick’s Day Loft Party
Where: 99 Sudbury
When:
Saturday March 14th @ 2pm
What:
$20 for a great space, tons of musical guests, food vendors, and about 1,000 like-minded Paddy’s Day partiers. 


The Lucky Ball
Where: Revival Nightclub
When: Thursday March 12th @ 8:30pm-2:00am
What: $100 for open bar, hors d’oeuvres, music and the most well-dressed lushes on St. Patrick’s Day. All proceeds go to the Fort York Food Bank.

Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl
Where: College Street Bar & Other Participating Locations
When:
12:00am – 2:00am (Registration 12pm-7pm @ GameDay on College)
What:
A bunch of bars, a bunch of drink deals, a bunch of people making Irish decisions. It’s $5 for a wristband, a cup, a map, and some swag. 

St. Paddy’s Week & Party
Where: Brazen Head Pub
When:
Thursday March 12th – Monday March 16th & March 17th
What:
A series of events and impromptu dance-offs leading up to the day-of bash. This spot is as big and Irish as it gets downtown and if there’s one thing they know how to do, it’s get people green on March 17th.

St. Patrick’s Live at the Brewhouse
Where: Amsterdam Brewhouse
When:
March 14th @ 11:00am – 2:00am
What:
14,000 sq. feet of shamrock shenanigans. Including live cover bands, DJs, a free pancake breakfast and VIP beer booths for up to 10 people for $550. As with the Brassaii party, tickets are purchased based on entrance time and are going for either $15 or $25.

The Big St. Patrick’s Party

What:
Your St. Patty’s Day “nightclub” option with $3 mixed drinks, $3 beers, and $150 bottles+booth.
