Elevator Pitch:
Catalyst Health is an integrative health clinic located in Yorkville incorporating personal training, chiropractic, physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, pilates and nutritional services.

When did you start your business, what was the inspiration?
Catalyst Health was started in March 2012 with the inspiration to create a truly integrated, client-focused boutique health facility that elevates a client’s quality of life through personalized health services.

The most challenging part?
Empowering clients to reach their health and fitness goals is what we live for at Catalyst Health. The most challenging aspect of our job is working within our client’s hectic and stressful schedules while helping them reach their full potential.

What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis?
Help clients return injury-free to what they love to do. Whether it is running marathons, weekend sports or playing with their children in the backyard, the gratitude is equally as rewarding.

Where do you see your business going in 5 years?
It has always been in the 5-year business plan to have multiple locations of Catalyst Health. Five years from now we will expand our presence and have a second location in the GTA.

What does success look like to you?
When a client refers a friend or loved one, this speaks volumes for us. It means that we have provided a level of service that was exceptional and they trust our expertise and approach. This is how we measure our success.

What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
The day Catalyst Health became a reality. Starting your own business is filled with ups and downs that no one can truly prepare you for. You need to not only have the vision, but also the perseverance to move past the obstacles that will inevitably arise on the way. Becoming a successful entrepreneur is highly rewarding.

Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Focus on your strengths and surround yourself with good people.

Do you support any charities? If so which one(s) and why is it important?
We are affiliated with several charities, including Heart House Hospice, Yoga Unite, Autism Speaks and Sheena’s place. It is important to give back to the community in which you live and work.

What is Notable to you?
Offering something that is a cut above, which is exactly what we do for our clients here at Catalyst. We continually strive to be that spark or “catalyst” that helps our clients realize their goals.

Blackberry, iPhone, Android, or Other?
Adam – Blackberry; Craig – iPhone.

How do you keep active, energetic, and vibrant?
As chiropractors and strength and conditioning coaches, our goal is to inspire health. We have to practice what we preach! Running, lifting weights, playing basketball and hockey keep us tuned up and ready to help clients reach their goals. Also, a healthy diet keeps us in check.
