9 Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Toronto

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is around the corner.

That means it is high time you start planning a wonderful evening of romance for your partner.

Lucky for you, you live in Toronto, so the options are limitless.

Here are nine ways you can celebrate cupid’s day with your boo this February 14th.

See Cannibal the Musical.
Trey Parker’s new musical has been receiving rave reviews, and after the huge success of The Book of Mormon, we expect this one to bring just as many laughs. If your date has a good (or dark) sense of humour, this is a winning option.

Eat at Canoe.
If there was ever a time to splurge on a meal, this is the day. But get your reservations in ASAP.

Catch a Second City show.
There’s no better way to spend the day than laughing and drinking with the one you love. Here, you get to do both. And they also offer dinner packages if you’re looking to find a good place to eat.

See Once.
The ultimate indie romance movie made a very successful turn as a stage musical, and it’s guaranteed to melt your date’s heart if you surprise her with tickets to see this one.

Take a helicopter tour.
This is probably the ultimate way to impress. Just make sure your date isn’t afraid of heights before you make that reservation.

Go ice skating.
Harbourfront’s DJ Skate Night will land on the same night as V-day. That’s kismet.

Go to the Zoo.
If either of you are big animal fans, consider taking part in the Zoo’s ‘So You Think You Can Romance’ evening.

Walk around the Distillery.
Nothing screams romance quite like walking hand in hand in the snow down an old-fashioned brick road. Stop at Soma for some hot chocolate while you’re at it.

Watch 50 Shades of Grey.
Yes, we know the book is not accurate to what a truly kinky relationship looks like, but your lady is going to be in a very good mood after watching Jamie Dornan bring Christian Grey to life – and that will only benefit you in all kinds of stimulating ways.

Can’t wait for the official release? Good thing we’re giving away passes to the pre-screening.
