Wednesday, September 5th:
E-Talk’s 7th Annual Canadian Filmmakers Party takes place @ Spoke Club, hosted by Ben Mulroney.
The 2012 Producers Ball @ The Shangri La, celebrates Canadian filmmaking talent.
The Annual Young Filmmakers Party @ Brant House includes no shortage of Canadian talent and a performance by Bran Van 3000.
As the official vodka of TIFF, it’s only fitting that Skyy hosts a party to match. Consider it an unofficial TIFF launch party; follow all the details through #SKYYVIP.
Thursday, September 6th:
Industry people (and perhaps some celebs arriving early) will kick off the first official day of the festival at the TIFF Pre-Opening Cocktail Gala at the Ritz-Carlton.
A Celebration of Toronto’s Most Stylish cocktail party takes place from 6:30 – 8:30pm at the new Shangri-La hotel downtown.
The official TIFF 2012 Opening Party moves to Maple Leaf Square from the traditional Liberty Grand location.
Celebrate the first day of TIFF and support a good cause at the Glitz and Glamour Breast Cancer Benefit @ Arcadian Court in support of breast cancer research.
Let’s Spend the Night Together party presented by Puma and Mini Cars at Airship 37 on Parliament street, which is set to start at 8:00pm and last until 2:00am.
Luxury global events brand Nikki Beach takes over The Spoke Club as its satellite headquarters for TIFF events from September 6-11.
Rumours have it that Amy Sacco’s Bungalow 8 (the iconic NYC celeb hotspot) pop-up will be the Thompson Hotel’s rooftop.
From September 6-16, The Trump Hotel will transform the 31st floor, where Stock Restaurant Bar and Lounge will pop with TIFF VIP treatment, featuring live DJs, no shortage of signature delicious food and “Old Glam Hollywood” pin-up girls, among other draws.
Friday, September 7th:
The Dark Party, presented by Toro Magazine, takes over The Hoxton.
Artists for Peace and Justice Film Noir at Le Societe co-hosted by Paul Haggis, George Stroumboulopoulos, and Natasha Koifman. This film noir-themed evening is a hot ticket event of the festival.
Saturday, September 8th:
Artists for Peace and Justice Academy Brunch, hosted by Paul Haggis. Their annual brunch is one of the festival’s not-to-be missed events, with special live performances by Arcade Fire, Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace, Chantal Kreviazuk and K’naan.
Offering guests a sneak peek at the not-yet-opened Four Seasons in Yorkville, the hotel hosts their 28th annual George Christy Cocktail Reception from noon to 1:30pm.
Annual OnexOne Fundraiser at Kool Haus, featuring a performance by Lauryn Hill.
Hello! Canada’s Hello Hollywood at the Ritz-Carlton. Good luck getting even close to the entrance of this party.
TIFF Party at Club V will be DJ’d by MJ Milz and Planet Otnoro, has an extended 4am liquor license, and ladies drink for free until 11pm.
Sunday, September 9th:
Norman Jewison’s Annual Canadian Film Centre BBQ, always a favourite way to mingle away a hangover among local and visiting talent.
Birks will host a champagne reception from 3-5 pm at Shangri-La, which will celebrate Canadian women in the film industry.
The AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) and Elton John AIDS Foundation present Mac Viva Glam Fashion Cares 25, a fundraiser featuring Elton John at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts.

Though we don’t know the exact location, insiders tell us that the hot-ticket CAA Party (as in, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious talent agencies) will take place on Sunday evening.
Monday, September 10th:
The indie Festival Music House takes over the Mod Club to showcase some homegrown (both established and up-and-coming) Canadian talent to international industry party people.
E1 Entertainment TIFF Party transforms The Royal Conservatory of Music into a multi-level cocktail party filled with pretty people.
