20 Great Restaurants are Launching The MTL Drink and Eat Festival

The Montreal bar and restaurant scene is overflowing with places to eat and drink, and the competition is making it harder and harder for existing foodie joints to make their mark.

Thankfully, solidarity and support in the community is stronger then ever, and so comes a new drink and food event.

Because we can NEVER have enough of those.

So, what’s the foodie fuss all about with this one?

Well, 20 restaurateurs across the city are coming together to showcase what they’re made of from Thursday, March 26, to Saturday, April 4.

“Times are tough, but restaurateurs are tougher – especially when they join forces to showcase their skills. A collaborative effort like Mtl Drink & Eat is a show of solidarity, of which we are exceedingly proud to be a part,” said François Forest, one of the event’s organizers.

For the festival’s first edition, the participating establishments will be offering three food and drink pairings – that’s 60 food and drink combinations you can choose from for just $15 a combo. Yes, we said $15.

Obviously you’re curious to know who’s in on this whole movement…

The list is pretty damn notable, and includes:

Apt. 200, Baron Samedi, Barraca rhumerie & tapas, Drinkerie Ste-Cunégonde, Fitzroy La Flèche, Grenade, Helm Brasseur Gourmand, Henri Saint-Henri, Huis Clos, Lorbeer, Mimi la Nuit, Monsieur Smith, Notkins, Quai no.4, Rachel Rachel, Shinji Bar, Suwu, Taverne Normand and Taverne Saint-Sacrement.

You can now purchase tickets on the Mtl Drink & Eat website for just $15, and enjoy one of the three drink + dish pairings offered in each participating establishment. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $19

A whole meal for the price of three lattes? Sold.
