When a famous musician passes, Toronto steps up to the plate.
Earlier this year, an ad hoc choir honoured the late David Bowie by performing a touching rendition of ‘Space Oddity’ at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
Following Prince’s death, the same group, Choir! Choir! Choir!, came together to pay tribute to the pop legend by singing ‘When Doves Cry’ at the iconic Massey Hall.
The performance included 1999 voices in commemoration of Prince’s album 1999, on which the hit track was featured.
