16 of the Best Places to Get Married in Calgary

The question has well and truly been popped, and after a resounding yes, you let all your friends and family in on the great news. Now all that’s left to do is spend months painstakingly planning all the intricate details of your big day…

One of the biggest and most important decisions of all is simply deciding where to get married in Calgary.

(Of course, if you’re thinking about Vancouver, Toronto, or Montreal as a location, we have all of those covered as well.)

There are plenty of great options in Calgary to suit every type of wedding day. From small and intimate, to larger parties with every second cousin in attendance, summer or winter, quintessential or quirky — we’ve got them all on the list.

So once you’ve said ‘yes’ to the dress, say “I do” to the venue with one of these stunning options in and around Calgary.

The Calgary Zoo
Getting married in the botanical gardens is a unique and magical experience for any animal lover (and ideal for kids). There are many options for venues, including the Eurasian tent for summer months, the Safari Lodge, or their restaurant and patio for smaller groups; and FYI, the locally sourced food served is out of this world.

Spruce Meadows
If you’re looking to tie the knot outside of the city, Spruce Meadows is a great option with its beautifully kept lawns and still only 30 minutes away from the centre of Calgary. Choose from either the British House’s Georgian Room, which can accommodate up to 120 guests, or the Congress Hall, which can cater to up to 500.

It’s perfect for a small ceremony, and because of the beauty of the lake it’s a great option for summer or winter months. It can accommodate 180 people seated or 250 cocktail-style.

Ralph Klein Park
This way, non-traditional couples. If you’re less little white chapel and more modern architecture, this could be the venue for you, and it looks sensational illuminated when evening falls.
