14 Incredible Cities You Have to Visit This Year

There’s no shortage of amazing places to travel to in 2015. And we know our readers love to indulge in as much wanderlust as they can. So with that in mind, we have a few more suggestions as . Here are 14 cities we think you should consider visiting this year

Earlier this week, we brought you your 2015 travel bucket list.

But we knew you wouldn’t be able to stop there.

‘Cause as much as we love living in Canada – there’s no better time than the winter to consider a little international travel.

With that in mind, here are 14 more cities we hope to hit up in 2015.

HAVANA, CUBA
To be honest, now that relations between the sunny country and USA have improved – we’re worried it might lose its very retro charm. While tourism is bound to see a huge boost from our friends down south, this means updating of the city is likely to start happening soon. Get there in 2015 before it starts to look like every other island country.

REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
Iceland’s capital city is becoming a cultural hub of creativity, especially if you’re a music nerd. (The Iceland Airwaves festival has been going strong for years, attracting journalists from all over the world.) Iceland is also passionate about increasing tourism, so you can get a flight via Iceland Air for much less than you would expect to pay.

BELGRADE, SERBIA
Serbia isn’t a country that regularly makes lists like this, but that’s exactly why it’s on ours. Belgrade is a very underrated city, and tourism isn’t huge in Serbia – so there’s still plenty to discover. If you’re planning a Europe trip this year, consider adding this stop to the list. Especially in the summer.

DUBLIN, IRELAND
As the Game of Thrones obsession continues to grow, so will the tourism to Ireland. Season 5 is currently filming in Northern Ireland, and if the uptick in tourism to Croatia after the show filmed there is any indication – it’s going to be the place to be this year. Dublin, the country’s capital, happens to be a cultural mecca filled with live music, great food, and street shopping. Oh, and something called St. Paddy’s Day.

LIMA, PERU
Lima has slowly built up a reputation as the go-to foodie city in South America, with 8 of its restaurants making it onto the Latin America’s Top 50 Restaurants Awards, including the top spot on the list. If you’re looking for a food destination this year, the Peruvian city features everything from tiny cevicherias to Michelin starred restaurants.

BERGEN, NORWAY
This lovely city in Norway was the inspiration for the fictional city in Disney’s hugely popular film, Frozen. Since its release, tourism in Norway has skyrocketed with a 40 per cent increase in tour sales.

WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA
While some might still associate Africa with Ebola, the outbreak is limited to a few countries – and Namibia has not been affected by it. In fact, Windhoek is a gorgeous place filled with colonial architecture, diverse wildlife, and stunning landscape. It’s also one of the safest countries in Africa, so it’s perfect for a safari adventure.

CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA
Australia’s capital may not receive the attention that Sydney and Melbourne are showered with, but it was named the best place to live in the world, meaning people are going to start giving it the credit it’s due.

PALAWAN, PHILLIPINES
After being named the best island in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, we expect to see many of you enjoying your winter escape in Palawan this year.

VILNIUS, LITHUANIA
Now that Lithuania is joining the Eurozone, travelers will be able to use the convenient Euro, making exploring the country easier than it once was.

DENVER, USA
Tourism to Denver has been on a major uptick since Colorado legalized marijuana. If you’re not just in it for the weed tourism, there are also great craft breweries, museums, and performing arts centres.

FLORENCE, ITALY
Florence remains a beloved tourist destination for its food, art, museums, shops, and history. Conde Nast Traveler also named it the best city in the world for tourists.

PAMPLONA, SPAIN
Pamploma is located in the Basque Country, the region straddling the northern part of Spain and France. This area has its own language, culture, and food, and has managed to stay off the radar of most tourists for many years – but that’s starting to change. If you’ve ever considered attending the Running of the Bulls, this is where it happens. Just ask Hemingway.

LJUBLJANA, SLOVENIA
Slovenia has yet to truly be discovered by tourists, and we all know it’s best to experience a place before it has become a full-blown cultural hotspot. As the capital, Ljubljana happens to be one of the most underrated cities in the world, featuring many stunning bridges, rivers, and castles. It’s also one of the most affordable European countries to visit.
