Notable: Elevator Pitch (we just met on an elevator, we have 30 seconds together in the elevator, please describe your business):
Casie: I write a daily blog that covers my life, fashion, technology and lots of events. I’ve worked with MuchMusic, MTV Canada, Smirnoff, and many other brands in social media related stuff. I’m one of the Top Tweeters in TO and an emerging web celeb. Blogging has brought lots of opportunity including international travel, VIP access and winning the coveted title of Virgin America’s Toronto Provocateur. You should check out my blog. Are you on Twitter?

Notable: Why did you start your business, what was the inspiration?
Casie: I started my blog to keep memories of people, places things and thoughts. I found I was always forgetting stuff all the time and a blog allowed me to publish anything I want, anytime, for free. It’s been a great place to unleash creativity, I’ve always been creative, now more people just know about it. Notable: What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis? Casie: Freedom: I like to work with smart people who are doing cool things. Being my own boss gives me that opportunity. I love it! Notable: What is the most challenging part of your business? Casie: Remembering everything. Thank goodness for technology, I’m always connected and love Google Calendar.

Notable: Where do you see your business going in 5 years?
Casie: I have no idea what is going to happen with the Internet or technology in the next five years, it changes so fast. I hope in five years my business has grown to the point where I have enough room for my clothes and I can afford a driver.

Notable: What is your greatest asset as it relates to business?
Casie: Building relationships. I love people and bringing them together. My Mom used to say I was really good at ‘networking’, I guess she was right.

Notable: What does success look like to you?
Casie: Being well known & respected for what you do, this is a great success.

Notable: What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
Casie: There have been a couple things that stick out but one thing that is really memorable. A few months back I got a Facebook message form my cousin in New Zealand, a newspaper arrived at her door and I was front page in full colour. It was an interview I did for New Zealand Fashion Week about bloggers taking over. I knew my family was proud and I thought to myself “you’re on the right track girl, keep it up”.

Notable: Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you?
Casie: I am a founding member of a group in Toronto called GenYTO and we’ve supported a number of charities since we formed in 2009. In 2010 I was personally involved with the month of Movember and armyourself.ca in support of National Cervical Cancer Awareness week.

Notable: What is Notable to you?
Casie: Having your own style; being a leader and original with how you live is very and admiring. That’s totally ‘Notable!’

Notable: Anything Else?
Casie: Keep an eye on me. I’m going places!
