UNIQLO is Giving Away 30,000 Free Clothes in Toronto Today and Tomorrow

Ah, Christmas in January.

UNIQLO, which received much fanfare when it announced its Canadian arrival exactly two years ago, will host a massive giveaway today and tomorrow (January 27th and 28th).

And we do mean massive: The Japanese retailer will be handing out 30,000 items of clothing over the next two days for no other reason other than to keep Torontonians warm. You simply need to show up at Yonge-Dundas Square between (9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on either day) and reach out to the overburdened mobile teams.

The giveaway will feature items from UNIQLO’s Heattech line, which is designed using a super warm, stretchy fabric that protects against extreme cold. Temperatures over the next week will remain relatively mild but, hey, we won’t complain about free clothes.

In addition to the 30,000 free clothes, 5,000 items will also be donated to organizations in Toronto that serve children. These include the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto, YWCA Toronto and Toronto Youth Development.
