Toronto Will Unveil Canada’s Biggest Christmas Tree on November 24

Another something so-New-York-but-not-quite is coming to Toronto.

On November 24th, Canada’s biggest Christmas tree will be unveiled at the Eaton Centre, standing at 100 feet tall.

That’s about a third of the size of the new condo blocking your previously unobstructed view. In comparison, New York City’s iconic Rockefeller Centre tree is around 110 feet tall.

The unveiling ceremony will commence at 6pm and includes festive songs by Toronto’s CHOIR! CHOIR! CHOIR!, who are behind such masterpieces as David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ at the ROM and Rufus Wainwright singing Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’.

That’s more than enough reason to stop by even if you couldn’t care less about trees with shiny decor.

Until then, you can appreciate the colossal conifer under a massive cloak.
