This Startup Gives Employees a Free Ticket to Anywhere in the World on Their One Year Anniversary

As the competition to attract top talent in Silicon Valley heats up, so does the desire for companies to create the best possible office culture for its workers.

The two, of course, go hand-in-hand.

And what better way to stimulate a Millennial’s motivation than to offer them a free travel opportunities.

That’s just one – and the most appealing – incentive for working at ZenPayroll, a Valley startup tasked with keeping employees merry doing otherwise menial work: streamlining the payroll and tax process for small businesses.

CEO and co-founder Joshua Reeves grants employees at his company a free plane ticket to travel to anywhere in the world upon reaching their one-year anniversary

He calls it the ‘Golden Ticket’.

“It’s very easy to get caught up in day-to-day work. Travel is a fantastic way to take a step back and think about what’s working and help your teammates think long-term,” says Reeves.

Other perks of the company’s commitment thinking more holistically about the bigger picture, as Reeves deems it, include unlimited vacation days, house stipends, family dinners on Wednesday nights, and a shoes-off policy that encourages a creative sock culture.

The company is expected to add another 250 employees by the end of the year… so yeah, make one of those spots yours.
