Cities are great for a million different reasons, and it’s almost impossible to determine which one is the “best.”

If you like architecture, you’ll probably prefer Montreal. If you’re a foodie, Toronto’s your spot. And if you’re into dogsledding and the arctic, Iqaluit is a top choice.

One of the more quantifiable bests, however, is value. As in, which city offers the best return for your hard-earned cash money. Hotel metasearch engine Trivago recently crunched some numbers to get to the bottom of this, using a combination of consumer ratings and average hotel prices to determine where a reasonable sum will fetch you an above-average abode.
