The Optimism of Colour

The Optimism of Colour is a major retrospective of the works of renowned Canadian abstract painter William Perehudoff. Featuring more than 60 works, the collection traces Perehudoff’s evolution from his early figurative works and murals to his later, more radiant abstractions.

Organized by guest curator Karen Wilkin of New York City, the exhibition was drawn from both public and private Canadian collections. Its presentation from July 1st to September 18th at the Glenbow Museum marks the third instalment in its 2011 Canadian tour.
