In case you missed it, last month we hosted the Montreal Fusion Startup Lab Finals.
Over an epic weekend we had four teams competing against each other in an exciting and challenging race for the chance to win a $10,000 prize for their startup.
Of course, when all was said and done we obviously needed to throw an amazing after-party to crown the final winner and celebrate everyone’s achievement.
Hundreds of Montreal’s movers and shakers flooded the chic L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel on November 10th in the Old Port to network, socialize, dance, and celebrate the presentation of the $10K cheque to the winner.
The rustic space was the talk of town from 6-9 pm, with tantalizing beats from DJ ZO echoing across the room and French inspired canapés being served. Of course, an open bar from Brown-Forman with cocktails from Finlandia vodka, Gentleman Jack Whiskey, Jimador Tequila, and Woodford Reserve didn’t hinder the level of fun being had.
Finally, the big moment arrived. Nicolas Lacasse, Ford Regional Sales Manager, Parts and Service, took to the mic alongside Notable Founder Julian Brass and crowned The Sharing Kit the winner of the Montreal Ford Fusion Startup Lab. The cool new digital platform allows you to rent and borrow under-utilized household items from your neighbours so you can save space and money.
A big shout-out to Happy Fitness, RentProof, and Brace Leather for being tough competition.
