Canadian fashion lovers, editors, bloggers and celebrities all united at the Fall/Winter 2015 WMCFW shows over the past week.

Events were jam-packed, models were on point, and style was on another level altogether.

So we asked Syed Sohail, aka: The Prep Guy, to run down his favourite shows. And obviously he had no trouble coming up with more than a few.

1. David Dixon
The iconic Canadian designer celebrated his 20th year of his label, with a very simple and elegant collection. The pieces comprised of a lot of black, but the designs were fresh and still very true to his designs.

2. Hilary Macmillan
Designer Hilary Macmillan soared with her newest collection. Not only was the studio show accompanied with a beautiful live performance, the designs were chic and almost reminiscent to some of Maison Valentino’s best work.

3. Pink Tartan
Designer and Spouse of Joe Mimran, Kim Newport-Mimran showcased an extravagant show featuring large paper sculptures to mimic ice. What I love about Pink Tartan is that the shows are always unique and carry fun, chic, and beautiful styles for all women.

4. Jaan Choxi
Jaan Choxi is a new menswear label, which ended being one of the most pleasant surprises from the week. Though many of the menswear designers have parted to showcase at Toronto Men’s Fashion Week, what I saw at the Jaan Choxi show was modern and dapper.

5. Mackage
Mackage always gets it right, with sexy urban looks for both men and women. The show featured some lust-worthy outerwear, which will definitely be on everyone’s Christmas wish list.

6. Hayley Elsaesser
The funky Australian designer had everyone in awe last season with her “heavenly bodies” collection and proved that she was not a one hit wonder with her newest show. The collection was an obvious ode to the 70s, and featured fun print-on-print looks in bright colours.

7. Klaxon Howl
Known as the King of Canadian Menswear, Matt Robinson the founder and designer behind the brand, created handsomely tailored looks for his FW15 show. The collection featured minimal and masculine suiting and gorgeous outerwear. I loved the inclusion of the multicultural model casting as well.

8. Mikael D
Mikael D is definitely the star of World MasterCard Fashion Week, he has produced some of the most coveted gowns that have been worn by the likes of Rihanna. The gowns from his current collection were both immaculate and dreamy.

9. 3.Paradis
3.Paradis was the epitome of luxury street wear for men. I was obsessed with their clean silhouettes, minimal bombers, and overcoats. The collection felt like it was straight out of the streets of Japan.

10. Stephan Caras
The Stephan Caras collection brought back old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist. The show started off with a performance by singer/model RunwayRenee, who later walked the show. The key piece was the finale jumpsuit with a beautiful cape train.

11. Rudsak
The Rudsak show was high-energy excitement. A smoke machine added a frosty visual effect to the beautiful signature leather coats and goods.

12. The Wild North
Although the collection was not one of the best of the week, the show was definitely the most entertaining thanks to an activist who ran on the runway with a poster…and was promptly removed from the property by security.

13. Farley Chatto
The Canadian Furrier had an exciting show, which was an ode to Russia. The best part of the show was that my favourite Super Model Stacey McKenzie opened it.

14. Melissa Nepton
Melissa Nepton is a rising star in the fashion industry and her newest collection was well structured, serving chic Parisian looks. I also loved the colour blocking featured in the show.

15. Narces
Narces Designer Nikki Wirthensohn showcased her newest line to much success. The new collection featured stunning eveningwear and cocktail dresses. My favourite piece was another finale jumpsuit.
