Alright Montrealers, in case you haven’t heard, tonight at Place des Vestiges, Quais du Vieux Port you can catch Canadian rockers The Midway State live in concert…for free! Samsung Mobile Canada has been hosting a series of pop-up concerts in Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver featuring the hip band as part of their promotion for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
At 5:30pm tonight, The Midway State will be up on stage, performing their hits and getting the crowd amped up. But this isn’t just a great chance to catch a free concert in your own backyard. Samsung is also giving away five Galaxy Tab 10.1’s to lucky people who show off their artistic talents by creating music videos of The Midway State’s performance of their new song Atlantic. All you have to do is submit your video here after the performance, and then go online on August 22nd to vote for your favourite videos from each city. The winners will be announced on August 29th, and the winning entries will be used in Samsung’s final video mash-up of The Midway State’s Atlantic.
Bottom line: A free concert in the Old Port with The Midway State is most definitely notable.
