RYU Launches ‘After Dark’ Late Night Menu

If contemporary Japanese cuisine is your thing and you haven’t been to RYU yet, then you are definitely missing out. Seriously. Located on trendy Laurier Street West (288), RYU, aka “dragon,” is a chic, stylish and, most importantly, delicious Japanese cuisine and sushi bar restaurant. What makes this place special besides the fact that the owner and staff are some of the nicest and coolest kids around, is that the cuisine combines Asian culinary traditions with freshly grown regional Quebec produce, meaning you will always get the very best – no questions asked. Another bonus? Their décor is standout thanks to Montreal’s Huma Design, giving you a serious feast for the senses accented by just the right amount of colour, design and ambience.

When we heard that RYU will be launching an “After Dark” menu this weekend, we naturally called up our crew and made plans to hit up this hot spot way in advance. The late-night menu runs from Sunday to Friday starting at 10pm, and 11pm on Saturday.

The menu will consist of some of their regular and popular items such as the club RYU, popcorn rock shrimp, sushi and bavette, but they will also have new items such as sake-steamed clams and mixed yakitori, as well as a few non-Japanese items. The menu will change weekly but they will keep the popular items. For $26 you can grab yourself a yummy appetizer and a main.

Of course they didn’t forget about the cocktails; during the After Dark hours you will be able to score cheaper drinks throughout the night. The music will be louder, the food will be cheaper, and the vibe will be kicking until late. Sounds notable to us!
