Rock the Walk at RiverWalk

The Simmons Building in Calgary’s East Village is a favourite landmark, and on July 30th, there will be even more reason to love frequenting this historic area. Rock the Walk is this first chapter in celebrating summer at the Grand Opening of RiverWalk Promenade, located conveniently behind the Simmons Building. This free outdoor concert and Market Collective will pour out music and culture to showcase the essence of RiverWalk, a 4km stretch perfect for active urban Calgarians.

Join notable acts like Kris Demeanor and his Crack Band, Samantha Savage Smith, and Miesha and the Sparks as they provide a hip atmosphere with what are sure to be some incredible performances. Starting at noon and running through until 4pm, RiverWalk in East Village will certainly be a hotspot for culture and Calgary enthusiasts.

Rock the walk

The Rock the Walk Grand Opening of RiverWalk gets further notability thanks to Calgary’s own Market Collective, which will showcase the work of 20 local artists and their finely-crafted wares. The area is perfect for those who want to run, walk, bike, or blade to the event to experience all that RiverWalk has to offer. Rock the Walk is the first but most certainly won’t be the last public celebration at RiverWalk Promenade…but who would want to wait when you can be a part of this amazing endeavour’s inception.
