Not only do such activities offer a more civilized alternative to an overcrowded bar (not to mention a great interactive date option), they also offer the chance to taste before you buy.

That’s why you’ll probably want to hit Vintages’ upcoming Pop! Sparkle! Sip! walk-around tasting event on Thursday, June 18 before you head to the LCBO to stock up for cottage and BBQ season.
Past events have been, well, sparkling.
If you’re wondering why, just picture the chance to sample over 60 sparkling wines, including Prosecco, Cava, Crémant and, of course, Champagne, and you’ll soon understand.
Most of the products featured are part of the June 13, 2015, Vintages in-store release.
Of course, you’ll probably also want to go for the chance to take in the Toronto lakefront from the gorgeous Corus Centre and sip some fabulous fizz alongside some of the season’s most delicious (and Instagram-worthy) foods. Fine, fine, but just remember why you’re really there.
Compared to smaller and more intimate events that Vintages hosts, these walk-around tastings are generally larger, more casual affairs, where you can take your time in tasting a variety of wines at different stations as you mingle with other guests.
Meaning, it’s also a perfect breeding ground for new personal and professional connections.
