Finally: Netflix Just Added an Offline Viewing Feature

Your day is about to get a lot better.

Seriously.

Answering the prayers of chronic binge-watchers everywhere, Netflix has finally added offline viewing to its service.

Today, the company announced that it is adding offline support for its iOS and Android apps for all of its members.

It’s happening already (at least, if you have the latest version of the app it is).

According to Netflix, “many favorite streaming series and movies are already available for download, with more on the way.” This includes favourites like Orange Is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown.

Downloadable content is accessed via the new “Available for Download” category inside the app.

The help page feature allows you to choose between standard or high-quality downloads – a useful feature for devices with minimal storage left (i.e. your phone at any given moment).

There’s no word on an offline desktop version, but it’s safe to assume that one will probably come soon as well.

Netflix is a free download for iOS and Android.

If your coworkers all of a sudden start taking extra long bathroom breaks, you now know why.
