If You Hate Donald Trump, You Now Have a Reason to Respect Justin Bieber

We just gained a whole lot of respect for Justin Bieber.

According to TMZ, our homegrown superstar passed up the opportunity to cash in on his “biggest single payday” when he declined an offer to perform at a Republican National Convention event.

Bieber was reportedly offered $5 million for the gig.

The performance funds were raised by donors. They were willing to dish out the millions upfront and to cover the production costs.

Bieber was told by organizers that it wouldn’t be a political endorsement should he decide to perform.

Apparently, the singer sought the advice of LeBron James, who strongly advised him not to attend.

Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, who has campaigned and fundraised on behalf of Hillary Clinton, shared the sentiment. Reportedly, he even said he would drop Bieber as a client if he went through with the gig.

Scooter felt that the move was “100 percent political.”

Though as a Canadian citizen, Bieber won’t even vote in the election, any association with Donald Trump probably isn’t the wisest career move.
